Race to Dubai
Jun 03. 2019
Danny was in confident mood coming into Muirfield Village, a venue given its name by club founder Jack Nicklaus following his 1966 Open Championship success at the East Lothain Links club where he secured his Major Career Grandslam.
After starting with back to back rounds of 69, Danny found himself inside the top 15 and well postioned to chase down the leaders over the weekend. Danny followed that up with a level par round of 72 on Saturday to remain at arms length from the leading groups, but two costly 3-putts on the back nine on Sunday put an end to his chase and leave him in a tie for 27th.
It was another week to gain valueble experience around a course Danny had never played and one that remains on the PGA Tour calendar for 2020 where he will be looking to improve on his result this week.
